The First Grade Healthy Picnic

Last week Lukas had his first parent event at school, the Healthy Picnic. He has been learning all about the food pyramid and how to make good food choices. They ended the unit with a picnic where each first grade class brought food from different food groups. They also made a human food pyramid with all of the first grade classes each representing different food groups on the food pyramid. When I get a copyof the picture I will post it.

We also visited the school Pumpkin Patch.

This is Lukas and his friend Allie at his 3rd birthday. We moved to Qatar at the same time and lived next door to the Gahr's at our first compound Plaza Gardens. We moved across town from them for almost 2 years, but we got lucky and have lived down the street from them for the last 1 1/2 years at Qipco!

Here they are now, in 1st grade. It's amazing how time has flown!

Of course Annelise wanted to enjoy the beautiful day and ride her bike too!

At the beach!

We had a great visit with Grandma Candi. One of the things we did was go to the beach! We are fortunate that it is still in the 90's here!

We roasted hot dogs, and marshmellos.....

And played on the swings.....

Happy 3rd Birthday, Aliyah!

Wow! I can hardly believe Aliyah is already 3!

We celebrated a little bit early so Grandma Candi could be here.

She had a great time opening her gifts......

Isaac's First Haircut

Finally Isaac had enough hair for his first haircut! So off to the Barber we went.....

Big brother Jonathan also needed a haircut and a touch up on his highlights before he stared 7th grade!

Isaac was even so considerate, he cleaned up afterwards!

Cafe Ceramique

After Jonathan and Gabriel started school, we had 2 weeks to wait until Lukas and Annelise joined them. One of the things we did was go to Cafe Ceramique. It is one of those places that you paint pottery, and eat lunch. We still haven't picked up our finished projects, they are still being fired. Here are some pictures of our day.....

Gabriel's 9th Birthday

Happy Birthday Gabriel! We love you so much can't wait to see what the next year brings! You are so full of energy and fun, what would we do without you?




On Saturday we celebrated Gabriel's Birthday. We had a big pool party, 50 kids! Even though it is still really hot, everyone had a great time. We are very fortunate to have a restaurant here on our compound so we had them cater the food and the cake. All we had to do was show up and enjoy the day with friends!
